Economy class offers a generous, higher than industry average, 33 – 34 inch seat pitch;
personal entertainment monitors and USB ports. A wide variety of Western and Korean
dishes, including the airline’s famous bibimbap, are on the menu, with special dietary
options pre-ordered. For in-between meals there’s a snack service, so no chance of going
hungry!
Korean Air’s business ‘Prestige’ class features very spacious Prestige Suites, each with
independent, individual space, wide personal storage and direct aisle access. The seats
convert into 73-inch flat beds and when not sleeping there’s a 17-inch personal monitor to
enjoy the entertainment and USB port for charging personal devices. High-quality Korean
and Western meals are on the menu, accompanied by premium wines and champagnes.
Korean Air fleet consists of eco-friendly next generation aircraft and the airline is committed
to maximizing fuel efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and utilising sustainable aviation
fuel (SAF). The airline is also developing an infrastructure for the use of aviation hydrogen
fuel.
Onboard, and throughout the company’s offices worldwide, the airline is constantly striving
to improve its footprint, by reducing waste and replacing plastic where possible with more
sustainable options. Upcycling projects include making retired life vests into cosmetic
pouches; name tags and golf ball markers made from a retired Boeing 777 and tool pouches
made from mechanics’ uniforms.
Korean Air’s ESG contributions to the community are numerous with volunteering,
renovating, clean-up and donating projects in areas of need.
