Liverpool Lime Street closures

TRAVEL ALERT

Liverpool Lime Street station is undergoing a major railway upgrade to enable the station to cater for a significant increase in passenger numbers during peak periods over the coming years.

The last major phase of the programme requires the station to be closed from Saturday 2nd June 2018. Trains will not run to or from Liverpool Lime Street from Saturday 2 June until Sunday 29 July as the final transformation is underway. These changes mean that:

1. Virgin will operate trains between London Euston and Liverpool South Parkway.
2. Merseyrail will operate services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central / Moorfields. Connections
   from VT services onto MR services between 10-15 minutes.
3. Virgin will operate rail replacement services at start / end of service, where there isn’t a connecting Merseyrail
   service.
